Health & Well-being

Our bodies need a variety of salts for optimal biological functioning. Boulder Salt® is the first salt product on the market to combine all the important electrolytes into a single product and in a ratio that approximates what should naturally exist in our bloodstream.

Boulder Salt® is a unique blend of nutritional salts. Each serving contains 40% less sodium than traditional table salt and sea salt, and also supplies the body with magnesium, potassium and calcium – salts that every body needs.

Calcium

Calcium is best known for its role in strengthening bones and teeth but it brings a whole lot more to the table than most people realize. It helps carry messages between the brain and body, works alongside magnesium for muscle contraction, and is key in both nerve transmission and the release of hormones and enzymes into the bloodstream.

Milk and other dairy products like yogurt and cheese are excellent “go-to” sources of calcium. For non-dairy sources consider kale or collard greens, tofu & molasses.

Sodium

Sodium is critical to our survival, It plays a role in nutrient absorption and transport, proper nerve conduction, muscle contractions, and maintenance of blood volume and blood pressure. Sodium also works in tandem with potassium to maintain proper balance of fluids in the body.

Potassium.

Potassium like sodium, is critical to maintaining good health and proper metabolic function in the human body. It plays a key role in proper hydration, muscle contractions, regulating heart rate and stabilizing blood pressure.

Avocados, mangoes, bananas, baked potatoes and yams are great sources, as are raisins and coconut water.

Healthy Balance.

Boulder Salt® can help balance the body’s pH level. Add 1 packet to 8-10 oz of water first thing in the morning, to shore up your alkaline ‘bank’ for the day.

Magnesium

Magnesium plays a crucial role in over 300 metabolic reactions within the human body. It is required for energy production, contributes to the formation of our bones and is needed for our bodies to produce DNA, RNA, and many other important molecules. Like sodium and potassium, magnesium is also involved in nerve transmission, muscle contraction, and heart functioning. Magnesium as also been shown to have a calming effect on the brain and may help in preventing migraines.

Where can you find the best sources of magnesium? Nuts, green leafy vegetables and whole grains are top go-to choices. Boulder Salt® is also an excellent source, with just 1, 2.0 gram serving (heaping ¼ teaspoon) providing 35% of the RDA for magnesium!
